“In a world where caring is hard, unpopular, even dangerous, we stand on the edge of a choice. Will we rise, voices unwavering, reclaiming compassion’s true power, acting as if care is a force too fierce to be silenced? Or will we stand by, quietly watching as care withers, taking with it the hope, the love, the purpose that first called us to heal and to heal others?”
Most of us have experienced some kind of trauma or adversity, which makes us want to help others. Join us in a learning journey designed to bring the love, compassion and resilience to the forefront of your practice, especially for yourself, along with some useful skills and knowledge to work more effectively with clients who have complex needs, including suicidality, depression, trauma, anxiety, addictions and PTSD.
You can do just one unit or more depending on your interests and needs.
After completing units 1-2, you can join our online community live reflecting group. To talk about things you can’t talk about at work, to build confidence and skills, build self-awareness, and be part of a community that “has your back”.
Our Community consists of a range of health professionals working in emergency departments, health, mental health and AOD settings, including psychiatrists and ED registrars, GPs, nurses and mental health nurses, midwives, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, case workers, and family therapists.
